I dreamed dark last night and

malaise settled over me

wrapped around my limbs

tucked around my heart

I woke

tangled and unsure

and began my day.

At noon I watched the white fog

push down the mountain

and hang weighted

and I waited.

Towards evening I took

Tonglen

breathed the sorrow of a million souls

held the grey sadness

felt it pull and open

felt it loose the binds

felt it turn to gold

Now.

Close my eyes.

Sleep.
